Thomas Jefferson

3.Jefferson does not agree with slavery in the form of torture. He also does not think we should be taking them from there homes to a new land or making them experience the horrible deaths that they had to go through to get here.

4. He was against it he was trying to prove to the people that it was wrong in enslaving these people. Because they are human beings themselves and shouldn't be treated like animals.

5. The king is saying that the African Americans are meant to take orders and work and should not have any special treatments.

Candidates 08

John McCain is running for the republican party against Democrat Barack Obama. He is currently a U.S. Senator from Arizona. John McCain was elected to congress in 1982. He is 71 years old born on August 29, 1936 and he was elected house of representatives in 1982 where he served two terms. McCain is a christian that goes to a baptist church. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1958 and became a naval aviator. McCain is pro life and has a 100% rating from the National Right to Life Committee. McCain is against gay marriage and thinks marriage should be between a man and a women but thinks the states should decide.



Barack Obama is an African American Democrat running for president of the united states. Obama is 47 years old a christian member of trinity United church of Christ in Chicago. He graduated from Columbia University and Harvard Law School. Obama worked as a community organizer and practiced as a civil rights attorney. He then served in the Illinois Senate from 1997 through 2004. He was a teacher at the University or Chicago Law School where he taught constitutional law. Obama tried to get a seat in the House or Representatives in 2000 but failed. Some of Obamas political views are to reduce the U.S. overall oil consumption by 10 million barrels a day. Obama supports NASA and thinks that America should have universal health care.
