1.)The people that were involved in the Brown v BOE Topeka where her father Oliver Brown, Linda Brown, The Chief Justice of the United States, The Supreme Court, and 200 plaintiffs.
2.) They went to a school with ten teachers and almost 800 students and there was no indoor plumbing other schools were getting ten times as much money on educating a white child as they did on every black child.
3.)In 1948 the military desegregated under the order of President Truman.
4.)The main factor was on the night of September 8, 1953 when Chief Justice Vinson died of a massive heart attack, Justice Felix Fankfurter reprotedly remarked to a law clerk not long afterward "This is the first indication I have ever had that there is a God."
5.)Joseph De Laine the south carolina pastor who had helped bring the briggs case to court received a letter giving him ten days to leave town or die. Around seven days hes church was burned down onthe tenth day an armed posse showed up at his house gunfire was echanged and the pastor left town never to return.
6.)The author thought the brown decision was a bad one. I disagree I believe that the decsion was a good one even though it was bad for the blacks at the time then but now the blacks have just as many rights as the whites.
African Americans were treated very poorly during this time and its good that they are finaly treated equal. With all the riots and destoying of African American homes and buildings its good they finally can be safe and not worry about the hostility.
