Constitutional Rights Foundation

.) John Locke's theory of natural rights is that all individuals are equal which that they are born with "inalienable"or natural rights. Which are god given and can not be taken or given away. Which are "life, liberty, and property." He also reasoned, individuals have both a right and a duty to preserve their own lives. Property meant the owner ship of ones self which included a right to personal well being. Jefferson kept the same thing Locke wrote with life and liberty but he changed the part that said property and he put in his own words "pursuit of happiness."Jefferson also went along with Locke when he said the people have the right to resist the government, alter or abolish it and create a new political system, but instead of Jefferson saying resist the government he said abolish it.

.) Slavery is not constitutional in the sense that it does not agree with what the constitution says in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness cause slaves had no rights.

.)What the saying "all men are equal" means today is that every man has the same rights as the other man no matter the race or the culture. If one man has the right to do something then the other has the right to. Someone can not be tossed out of something because they are not liked if other people have the right to be there then that person or person's has the right to be there.

.) "life"is the preservation of mankind. Individuals have both a right and a duty to preserve their own lives. "Liberty" individuals should be free to make choices about how to conduct their own lies as long as they do not interfere with the liberty of others. Liberty should be far-reaching."Property"ownership of ones self, which included a right to personal well being.

.)"life" means we have the right to live how we want. "liberty" means that we are free to do what we wont. "pursuit of happiness" we can pursuit happiness.
