John McCain is running for the republican party against Democrat Barack Obama. He is currently a U.S. Senator from Arizona. John McCain was elected to congress in 1982. He is 71 years old born on August 29, 1936 and he was elected house of representatives in 1982 where he served two terms. McCain is a christian that goes to a baptist church. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1958 and became a naval aviator. McCain is pro life and has a 100% rating from the National Right to Life Committee. McCain is against gay marriage and thinks marriage should be between a man and a women but thinks the states should decide.



Barack Obama is an African American Democrat running for president of the united states. Obama is 47 years old a christian member of trinity United church of Christ in Chicago. He graduated from Columbia University and Harvard Law School. Obama worked as a community organizer and practiced as a civil rights attorney. He then served in the Illinois Senate from 1997 through 2004. He was a teacher at the University or Chicago Law School where he taught constitutional law. Obama tried to get a seat in the House or Representatives in 2000 but failed. Some of Obamas political views are to reduce the U.S. overall oil consumption by 10 million barrels a day. Obama supports NASA and thinks that America should have universal health care.

Super Tuesday

1.)The front runner was John McCain for the republican party. No one has dropped out of the race.

2.)No one came out front runner for the democrat party. None was determined. No one dropped out of the Democratic race.

3.)In Kansas 36,687 Demacrats voted in the caucus. Obama got the majority or the votes in Kansas. He won by 9,515 votes. I was not suprised that Obama won I would have voted for Obama because I do not believe Hillary Clinton is the right person for president. She does not have what it will take to run the country.

1.)The democrats are building a place made out of cards. One card says race because of Obamas race and the other card says gender because of Hillary Clintons female gender in becoming president. The donkeys are the constucters because donkeys represent democrats and Obama and Hillary are democrats. This is saying that there race and gender may have a role in wether or not they get elected president.



2.)The house is forclosed because the people couldnt make there payment to the government. The mail man is bringing them a government check for a tax retern. The picture is saying that why would they give you government money now when they already took your house.



3.)Edwards big thing is talking about poverty issues. But then he can go out and spend $400.00 on a new hair cut. This is saying he needs to stick to what he tells people and not spend that kind of money on a hair cut.



4.)Father time is holding the ground hog and the ground hog is saying the delegate scramble is far from over. The ground hog instead of seeing his shadow sees that there will be 10 more months of political pundits.

THE BROWN DECISION

1.)The people that were involved in the Brown v BOE Topeka where her father Oliver Brown, Linda Brown, The Chief Justice of the United States, The Supreme Court, and 200 plaintiffs.


2.) They went to a school with ten teachers and almost 800 students and there was no indoor plumbing other schools were getting ten times as much money on educating a white child as they did on every black child.


3.)In 1948 the military desegregated under the order of President Truman.


4.)The main factor was on the night of September 8, 1953 when Chief Justice Vinson died of a massive heart attack, Justice Felix Fankfurter reprotedly remarked to a law clerk not long afterward "This is the first indication I have ever had that there is a God."


5.)Joseph De Laine the south carolina pastor who had helped bring the briggs case to court received a letter giving him ten days to leave town or die. Around seven days hes church was burned down onthe tenth day an armed posse showed up at his house gunfire was echanged and the pastor left town never to return.

6.)The author thought the brown decision was a bad one. I disagree I believe that the decsion was a good one even though it was bad for the blacks at the time then but now the blacks have just as many rights as the whites.
African Americans were treated very poorly during this time and its good that they are finaly treated equal. With all the riots and destoying of African American homes and buildings its good they finally can be safe and not worry about the hostility.
