Doughboys

1.) The way they described the war with the trenches how they had to live in them when at certain times they had to get up and run strait in to enemy fire to get closer to the enemy. When they had to charge a hill that had 20 gunners in the rocks and snipers in the trees. They didn't have anything but there pack and there gun. They didn't get a bath all they were there for was to fight and win a war. Fighting on the front line in the trenches shows great bravery.

2.)They were back ups when some men were getting drove back the marines came in to relieve them and drove the Germans back so that the infantry men could get back and take care of there wounds and get rested up.

3.) I think the greatest challenge would be staying alive. And also moving from one place to another without getting shot. There were alot of Germans firing and German aircraft firing that were always on the lookout.

My greatest fear would be down in the trenches hearing the bullets hit right next to you knowing that any second one could hit you, or the bombs that were being dropped thinking of one getting dropped in the trench I was sitting in feeling the metal fall all around. Seeing my buddy die thats sitting right next to me.

socialism

1.)They believe in socialism and that you shouldn't have to work cause people will do it for you.

2.) Socialism advocates forcing "rich"people (who earn their money like everyone else)to give to the "poor" (who have the right to be rich if they so choose).

3.) Socialism has a good heart but socialism has no mind. It cannot fathom the concept that giving money to people does not help them learn to spend it any wiser it only gives them more money to spend on what they are doing currently. left wingers are more about taking money from people because there are always good people out there to work and give you money and support you.

4.) The authors purpose in this is that communism is a corrupt system of government that only benefits the poor people cause it forces the rich people that earn there money to give to the poor that don't earn there money. Communism factors an authoritarian or dictator.

Socialism is a system of government controlling society for the benefit of all members. Socialism also is a government body that advocates equal sharing. There are striking differences between socialism and communism lie religion but socialism is a precursor to communism. Socialism is designed to even the playing field. Socialism has a good heart but no mind it cannot fathom the concept that giving money to people does not help them learn to spend it any wiser it only gives them more money to spend on what they are doing currently.

Right Wing is the best way to go because people that make there money should be allowed to keep making it. The author believes in the saying "If you give a man a fish, you've fed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you've fed him for life." And capitalism, Capitalism believes in allowing the rich to become richer but it does not make the poor become poorer it allows the rich to pump more money back into private businesses that create jobs for the poor this is making people work to earn their living.

5.) He believes in Capitalism because he thinks that people should have to work for a living. That giving people money is not going to make them want to work at all when they get money for doing nothing.

6.) I agree with the author because I think people should have to work for living if they are able to. I disagree with people that don't work that can but they choose not to because there are people that will support them for doing nothing that's not right. People should find a job and get to work and make a living on there own.

Constitutional Rights Foundation

1.) John Locke's theory of natural rights is that all individuals are equal which that they are born with "inalienable"or natural rights. Which are god given and can not be taken or given away. Which are "life, liberty, and property." He also reasoned, individuals have both a right and a duty to preserve their own lives. Property meant the owner ship of ones self which included a right to personal well being. Jefferson kept the same thing Locke wrote with life and liberty but he changed the part that said property and he put in his own words "pursuit of happiness."Jefferson also went along with Locke when he said the people have the right to resist the government, alter or abolish it and create a new political system, but instead of Jefferson saying resist the government he said abolish it.

2.) Slavery is not constitutional in the sense that it does not agree with what the constitution says in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness cause slaves had no rights.

3.)What the saying "all men are equal" means today is that every man has the same rights as the other man no matter the race or the culture. If one man has the right to do something then the other has the right to. Someone can not be tossed out of something because they are not liked if other people have the right to be there then that person or person's has the right to be there.

4.) "life"is the preservation of mankind. Individuals have both a right and a duty to preserve their own lives. "Liberty" individuals should be free to make choices about how to conduct their own lies as long as they do not interfere with the liberty of others. Liberty should be far-reaching."Property"ownership of ones self, which included a right to personal well being.

5.)"life" means we have the right to live how we want. "liberty" means that we are free to do what we wont. "pursuit of happiness" we can pursuit happiness.

summer vacation

summer of 2007 was not the best summer I worked about everyday and only got to sleep in about 5 days. I went to the weightroom every week day. I worked for Joe Elmenhorst, Mike Casper, Sha Thompson, and mowed the Iola Township Cemetary, I played summer baseball and we lost two games. I never went on vacation cause I had to work the whole time. I built fence, hauled hay, worked on machinary, racked hay, and made a railroad tie fence... I heard on the news that the war on Iraq was a waist of our time and that we were losing lives for no reason and soldiers say its a better place over there cause of what they are doing.
